Motorola eSIM Installation Guide

1 Check if Your Device Supports eSIM

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network and check for the "Add eSIM" option. Alternatively, dial *#06# to view the EID number. If an EID appears, your device supports eSIM (e.g., Motorola Edge 2022, Edge 2023, Moto G Stylus 5G). Note: Some models like Moto G Power (2020-2022) do not support eSIM.

2 Ensure Your Device is Unlocked

Confirm that your device is not locked to a specific carrier. If locked, contact your carrier to unlock it.

3 Ensure Internet Connection

Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. A stable internet connection is required for eSIM activation. Avoid public Wi-Fi networks.

4 Remove Conflicts with Other SIMs

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network and disable or remove other eSIMs or physical SIMs. Motorola devices typically allow only one SIM to be active for data at a time.

5 Install Your eSIM

Using QR Code:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Add eSIM.
  2. Tap "Don't have a SIM card?" and press "Next".
  3. Scan the QR code provided by Jett On.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and tap "Activate".

Enter Details Manually:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Add eSIM.
  2. Tap "Don't have a SIM card?" and press "Next".
  3. Tap "Need help?" and select "Enter it Manually".
  4. Copy and paste the full activation code (starting with LPA:1$) sent to your email.
  5. Tap "Activate" and wait for the installation to complete (may take up to 10 minutes).

6 Set Jett On as Default Data Line

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network, select the newly added eSIM, rename it to "Jett On", and set it as the default data line. Disable the physical SIM to prevent it from consuming data.

7 Enable Data Roaming

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Jett On and enable "Data Roaming". This is required for the eSIM to work at your destination. Do not activate the eSIM until you reach your destination to avoid consuming the data package.

8 Refresh Network Connection

Turn on Airplane Mode for 10 seconds, then turn it off. This refreshes the network signal.

9 Test Your Internet

Open Chrome or another browser to check your connection. If the page loads, your eSIM is working!

10 Manual Network Selection (If Needed)

If the device does not connect to a network after enabling data roaming, select a network manually:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Jett On.
  • Turn off "Automatically select network".
  • Scan for available networks and choose the one with the best signal.
